The results have now been announced for the BSFA awards for the best
works of 2007, and also for a one-off award (to celebrate the BSFA’s
fiftieth anniversary) for the best genre novel of 1958. The winners
were:
* Best Novel of 2007: Brasyl by Ian McDonald
* Best Short Fiction of 2007: "Lighting Out" by Ken MacLeod
* Best Artwork of 2007: "Cracked World" by Andy Bigwood (cover of disLocations)
* BSFA Fiftieth Anniversary Award -- Best Novel of 1958: Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss

The awards were presented at the 2008 British national science fiction
convention, Orbital, on 22 March in London. As usual, anyone with a
membership of the Eastercon as well as members of the BSFA were eligible
to vote for the awards.
