ABOUT MATRIX ONLINE

18.03.2008

by Ian Whates

Matrix is the news and media reviews organ of the British Science Fiction Association.  Here you will find news on the latest releases at the cinema, what's happening on the small screen, the music scene, the world of comics and beyond.

In addition, Matrix contains cutting-edge features and interviews with authors and other industry professionals, as well as news of Science Fiction and speculative fiction events throughout the UK.

In September 2007, the former editorial team of Tom Hunter and Claire Weaver stepped down, to be replaced by Ian Whates, Kim Lakin-Smith and Del Lakin-Smith.  As well as assisting Ian in his editorial duties, Del and Kim provide the magazine's layout and design.

From # 187 (March 2008), Matrix abandoned its former hard copy format and became an online magazine, which has allowed it to be far more up-to-date and reactive with regard to news and reviews.  In this new incarnation, the expectation is that the magazine's main content -- features, articles and interviews -- will be updated quarterly, but the more time-sensitive elements -- reviews and news -- will change more frequently and so will remain more current.

Welcome to the new age of Matrix Online.
